"After the release of TenGO Girls videos, even we were not prepared for the responses that they generated. The numerous emails from viewers could be roughly segregated to 2 camps. One camp was fervent in their beliefs that they could easily go as fast as or even faster than the TenGO girls and wanted their chance to prove this. The second camp was skeptical if this speed could be achieved by just anybody. They did not believe that fast typing on TenGO can be achieved by everybody or at least without (as one observer commented) furiously pounding on the screen for quite a while. This was compounded by the atypical manner and ease in which the girls achieved their blinding speeds in the videos. Ellis reached typing speeds of 75 standard wpm while slouching lazily on a couch and Chen Yee achieved her 72 standard wpm by just poking at the TenGO keys with none of her hands touching the PPC!"
This proved to be a very interesting quandary for us, and thus birth the idea of a TenGO Challenge. We decided to embark on a (hopefully fun, interactive and exciting) project to see if we could get, within 3 months, 1000 TenGO users submitting typing speed scores of above 50 standard wpm.
We are not sure how this project will turn out, but we hope to make it as fun and interactive a process as possible for all participants and that is the theme for this TenGO Challenge... FUN!
From all of us here, thanks for the participation and support and Happy TenGOing!
